When I saw this article from takepart  about Black &SexyTv I got really excited, because their show are the TRUTH! And I wish some of them would make it on tv. These show are everything B.E.T needs.

Black and Sexy TV was founded by four filmmakers—Numa Perrier, Dennis Dortch, Jeanine Daniels, and Brian Ali-Harding—in 2011 and takes its name from Dortch’s 2008 feature, A Good Day to Be Black and Sexy, which showed at the Sundance Film Festival. Though the channel began with just one program, it has grown to include six: The Couple, Hello Cupid, That Guy, Roomieloverfriends, The Number, andYellow. The series are each distinct but are grounded by a through line of authentic black experience, especially regarding love and sex.

Here’s a list of show from YouTube not all from Black&SexyTv you should check out when you got time.

Someone other than me finally said it

I’ll comment on this in a lil while I’m at work so I can’t go in how I want too on this little ass phone keyboard with this black on black crime bullshit y’all don’t understand

Well before you go in and hurt my feelings, I agree with her because in my hometown, I lived in the worst neighborhood until I recently moved. Men would walk up on one another and kill the next person right in front of their family. Then someone from that family of the murdered person would come and attack the man who shot their blood. The leaders in our community (who were all black men) didn’t help so much with the violence and the crime. They stuck with teaching the kids how to rise up from the horrible neighborhoods they were being raised in, and accomplishing so much more than what they thought they ever could. That’s an amazing task right there, but the black on black violence was horrific, I saw someone die everyday. Multiple people sometimes. I’m just basing this off of my community and what I saw, and my experiences, etc., those are where my opinions are coming from.

I wasn’t gonna attack u personally just the whole black on black crime argument 😘

Y’all are missing the point

An unarmed child was killed by an OFFICER OF THE LAW. He had his hands up at the time and was still shot 6 times. The officer is now on paid leave even though he murdered someone.

That is the point

There is no other point

It’s right there.

hush up about black on black crime because it has NOTHING to do with anything right now.

No, you are missing the point.

You don’t have to do this

Why are people not understanding her point it’s like black people are immune to black on black killing because it’s so common we don’t act upon it enough yet when a black person is killed by a white person everyone goes AWOL we should be putting the same amount of anger into black on black killing as we currently are with Mike Brown’s situation I understand Mike was killed for no reason by a dirty cop and it’s a beyond disgusting situation at the same time we’re killing each other and it’s like we expect it to happen so we aren’t as driven as we are when Mike Brown cases happen.

white people kill each other at a similar rate why is this argument exclusive to black people ?

There’s a difference between killing someone because of gang violence and killing someone because you despise black people

Gang members have more integrity and self control than cops, They dont just walk up to random people and shoot them just because they feel like it. Gang members have a set of codes and rules that they follow and when they break a rule they get disciplined by the whole set. When a cop breaks the rules he gets coddled and hidden by his whole department they withhold his name and suspend him WITH PAY and try everything in their power to help him get away with a crime

Theres a systematic issue with black crime it breaks down too money, Horrible schooling system what are they supposed to do when the education system fails them? They’re out of school with bad grades cant go to college u want them to work at mcdonalds for minimum wage?… hes like “if i stand at mcdonalds for 8 hours and ask you may i take your order ill make 50 dollars today but  if i stand on this corner for 8 hours ill make 500 today” which one you want someone who has a miniscule education to pick, Its worth the risk to them,  When some other drug dealer decides he wants that block thats when the guns come out, It goes around in circles you have to stop crime from the root of the problem it starts in the schools and the job market…. now whats the excuse for white on white crime ?

Omg thank you so much for this!
. I’ve been seeing the topic brung up whenever this subject comes up & everyone acts like “black on black” crime is the highest. When it’s just a stereotype even black people are believing. White on white crimes happen just as much if not more than blacks but for some reason ours is worse.

Everybody should stop killing everybody.

I remember one time i was over my mans house playing 2k and he tried to buck up on his girl to show off and it backfired

Girl: *comes home from work* “bae why u aint clean the kitchen”
